What's the difference between shared and dedicated hosting?
Shared hosting means your website lives on a server alongside other websites, splitting resources like memory and processing power. It’s reliable and cost-effective, and it’s what we use for our Standard plan. Dedicated hosting means your website has an entire server environment to itself. Nothing else is competing for resources, which means faster load times and more consistent performance, especially during high-traffic moments. That’s what powers our Pro plan.
What happens if my website goes down?
We build in redundancies specifically to prevent this, but if it ever happens, we’re on call 24/7 to get it back up and running. You’re never left waiting on a ticket queue.
What happens if my website gets attacked?
Every plan includes a cybersecurity setup designed to guard against common attacks and vulnerabilities. If something does get through, we’re available around the clock to respond, patch, and restore from backup if needed. You won’t be troubleshooting a security incident on your own.
Do I need to sign up for hosting and maintenance, or can I use my own?
It’s optional. You’re welcome to host your own site and manage your own cybersecurity if you prefer. We’ll hand off everything you need to do that.
What counts as a "minor" update versus a "larger" revision?
Minor updates are things like text changes, swapping an image, updating hours or contact info, small tweaks that don’t touch the site’s structure or design. Larger revisions, like adding new pages, redesigning sections, or building new functionality, are scoped and quoted separately on the Standard plan. On Pro, updates of any size are included.
When does billing start?
You will receive your first hosting and maintenance bill 24 hours after your website is launched.
Can I switch between Standard and Pro?
Yes. As your business grows or your traffic increases, you can upgrade to Pro at any time. We’ll move your site to a dedicated environment with no downtime.
Is my SSL certificate included?
Yes, both plans include a secured (HTTPS) connection for your site, no extra setup or fees.
How often are backups taken, and can you restore an old version if something breaks?
Backups run daily on both plans. If something ever needs to be rolled back, whether from an error, a bad edit, or an attack, we can restore from a recent backup.
Can I cancel at any time?
Yes. There’s no long-term contract locking you in. If you decide to move your hosting elsewhere, just let us know and we’ll help make the transition smooth.
What kind of uptime can I expect?
Both plans are built for high reliability. Dedicated hosting on Pro adds an extra layer of consistency since your site isn’t sharing resources with other sites during traffic spikes.
What if I need a change made outside of normal business hours?
For urgent issues, like a site going down or a suspected attack, we’re available 24/7. For standard update requests, we respond during regular business hours.
